Jack in the Box homes are more environmentally friendly than most new homes. Due to the materials used in the construction, they stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer. As well as using Thermosol Panels there are additional eco options. These include solar panels, ground source heat pumps and other green features such as a skirting board heating system. This all helps to considerably reduce running costs due to the thermal properties of the product.

INSTALLATION

We use off site construction techniques to create the Thermosol panels used for each house. The way our production line operates means we supply housing substantially faster and more cost effective than conventional house builders using traditional methods. This then allows revenue to flow sooner to housing associations.

FABRIC FIRST APPROACH

Central to the DNA of a Jack in the Box home is our ‘Fabric First’ approach that maximises the performance of the elements of the building fabric to make it more sustainable. This reduces capital costs, running costs, carbon, and maintenance during the lifetime of the building.

This is then loaded with complimenting energy efficient technology to provide a low energy home. With technology integrated into the home, owners can achieve the full benefits without having to do any more work.

Jack in the Box Homes are loaded with energy efficient technology to provide a low energy home, the fabric 1st approach is crucial combined with simple features and technologies like MVHR, allows the house to breathe naturally and provides for crucial resident comfort. In addition complimenting technologies like Solar Thermal will enhance the home, reduce energy bills and maximises house thermal performance for the benefit of the resident. Traditional heating is not required, due to the property being so thermally efficient we do however include slim panel electric heating in our offer to top up ambient temperature in these super efficient homes.

With climate change a real and evolving threat our efficient use of energy is becoming ever more important. For example an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is now needed for all house sales.

As well as the environmentally friendly Thermosol Panels and other eco options such as solar panels, Jack in the Box Homes are also highly insulated using Soltherm’s certified EWI system. This produces a healthy home that is safe, durable, and strong. It all makes for houses that provide both warmth and comfort.

our factory

Our three off site manufacturing centres in Poland are carefully set up to allow quick and affordable delivery of a quality product. Everything is designed to make the process consistent and flexible so clients and buyers can relax.

Our quality assured factories all operate under controlled conditions with highly trained staff working under ISO 9000 accreditation. Meticulous attention is paid to each stage of our process – from the manufacture of our mature timber sourced from sustainable forests to the deliver of that timber to our own sawmills. Being stored off-site means our high quality product is protected until it’s delivered to your site and installed just three months after order.

delivery & assembly

Two months after ordering and planning approval your Jack in The Box unit arrives on site for construction. For our individual private customers as with the conception and manufacturing we then work with you to design and assemble your bespoke home. Our teams will guide you through each process ensuring design and build is to your exact requirements with every small detail addressed.
